Summer Sabbath Short Service continues on August 11! Morning breakfast at 9am, followed in the Fellowship Hall by a short church service (message by Jennifer Renton). There is a Bible study following church, for those interested, at 11am. Dress casual if you like, so you can enjoy an optional adventure following church.
Our after church hike this week will be to Benham Falls – we will meet at the trail head at 1PM. (note: recreation passes are required, but can be purchased at the trailhead site) To get to the trailhead from Bend, follow Highway 97 south 11 miles and turn right at the Lava Lands Visitor Center. Follow the road on your left for approximately 3 miles to the parking and picnic area. The hike to Benham Falls is an easy half-mile walk, and is mostly along an easy, fairly level trail:) Please pack a lunch to bring on the hike:) See you there!

Nate Cheney is serving this year as a student missionary, teaching 7th grade in Pohnpei. Here are supplies Nate must supply: computer (for grades and personal), flash drive, devotional (to read with your kids for worship every morning), pens, pencils, planner for teaching, folders (or some way of organizing kid’s work), stapler, sharpies, chalk, advil, first aid kit, vitamins, charcoal, anti-itch cream, nail clippers, tweezers, neosporin, thermometer, razors, q tips, chapstick, sunscreen, aloe, bug spray, deodorant (plenty), hand towels, towels, comb/hair gel, toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, shampoo/body wash, DayQuil/NyQuil , Tea tree oil (for lice). School supplies will be for a group of 30 children, so quantities of 30 would be appreciated.

Music lessons offered by Jared: Tuesday or Wednesday nights (8 week blocks) teaching music performance from guitar, singing, bass, or drums. The goal is to have 5 kids per night. The lessons would be 60 minutes, for 8 weeks and cost $300 per student for the 8 week lesson block.
